And......We're Off

We are finished packing.  I am enjoying a glass of wine, and we are so ready for tomorrow.  I thought I would post this picture from our Jamaica vacation.  I know we will have just as much fun!!!!!!!! So feeling all romantic before the honeymoon, I picked the most lovey dovey one we had ;) Oooooo....kissy kissy!

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh

I - giggle - every - time.   My bestie Megan and I.  We did fit into the same pair of pants.  We are also probably the only ones who think this is funny!

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item

This is my box full of letters, cards, and keepsakes from loved ones.  I have every note or card that Dan has given me.  I love going through them and reading.  They can make me laugh, cry, or yes even get angry....STILL!  I also have loving cards from my godmother who passed away, poetry from my friends, and letters from my parents stating how proud they are of me.  Whenever I need a boost, this is my go-to item.  I think my favorite is the letter Dan wrote when he proposed.  Not only did he memorize what he was going to say, he wrote it all down so I could read it over and over again later.  The words I won't share with you, but know it was romantic :)

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

I would want to trade with Kate Middelton.  I mean really.....not only does she seem to be a pretty capable person, but she is marrying a PRINCE!! Who wouldn't want to be a princess....even just for a day  :)

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

This was close to impossible to choose.  Instead, I chose a picture with a few girls I have the most memories with.  I lived with these two (Dee and Stacy) over my lovely college career.  From trying to save money by keeping our thermostat at a cool 62 degrees or movie marathons......there was never a dull moment!  Spring Break '05 will never be forgotten!

Day 04 - A picture of your night

Yes, this is how I look when I work out too :)  I was to embarressed to take a picture of myself at the gym, so I used one after I ran my first half marathon. Also included is a picture of Dan on the other end of the couch.  Only....he usually had his laptop in front of him working while we watch TV.  That is usually about it folks....pretty ordinary!

Day 2- A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

I would have to say my mom.  She has been the biggest supporter of anything I do.  I mean really folks.....she raised four children, all under the age of five! (She looks exhausted here!)  My dad worked full time and was a head coach for football and basketball.  Not only did she make every game he coached, but she lugged all four of us with her.  We were his biggest fans.  We did art projects every day after school, and she somehow made garage clothes in jr. high okay to wear. She inspires me everyday.  From her patience with everyday life, to her finally completing her life long goal of attaining a college degree.  She will graduate next year after she put it all on hold to raise my siblings and I.   She spends 20 minutes or more of her day to listen to me rant and rave about my life.  She is proud of every little thing I do, and she would do anything for me.  How can you not be close with the person who gave you life?  I love you mom.  Thanks for being my best friend.

Day 1: A picture of yourself with ten facts...

1.  I actually LOVE my job, not just like, but LOVE!! Not many people can say that.....
2.  I am 1 year and 4 months older than Dan.  It explains the maturity difference between us ;)
3.  I enjoy the Disney Channel.  Yes people.... High School Musical is one of my favorites.  I can thoroughly relate to Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and The Suite Life on Deck with my first graders with complete confidence.
4.  My very best friends are my two brothers and sister.  They know me the best, and still (seem) to love me.
5.  I talk to my mom at least once a day on the phone.  Usually twenty minutes or more.  People at her work know my voice by heart :)
6.  I enjoy working out.  New workout classes have been my thing so far this year.  Ask my Casselton friends.....luckily I do not embarrass easily.
7.  When I get nervous I often say very inappropriate comments.  Not on purpose though.
8.  I have gray hairs, and I am only 27 years old :(
9.  I love old worn out t-shirts.  Even if I get them from thrift stores.  After a few washes they feel like yours, and they are my favorite to work out in.
10.  My nieces and nephews are my most favorite people to hang out with.

30 Day Photo Challenge

Some of my other blogger friends have started this neat 30 Day Photo Challenge.  I am going to try and attempt.....although I may need to take a break over my honeymoon.  It just looked like so much fun!!

Prelude to Honeymoon....

Our wedding day.  I loved loved loved every moment!
Yes!  He proposed and I said yes!  (Excuse the hand placement.  We didn't try :)

A few months after we started dating.  My goodness......look at that awesome long hair.  It is not wonder I kept him around so long!  We do look so young here though......
We are getting ready for our honeymoon is about 2 1/2 weeks.  In honor of our wedding and vacation....we thought it would be fun to give you a little blast from the past with photos.  It is hard to believe that 7 years have passed since we have been together.  I can't imagine what it will feel like when we are old and gray. (Well I already have some gray hairs, but you get the idea :)

Spending Time with Bentley

I could do this ALL DAY LONG!
I couldn't wait to see my littlest turkey again!  I got to go home for the weekend and babysit and cuddle all day long!  It was great.  His mom even let me change his dirty diaper.  Thanks Kasey :)

Weekend Hotel Stay

Dan and Brander got to attempt driving.  The best part.....this kept him occupied for an entire hour!

Then Brander got to try the snowmobile with Aunt Kiley.  FUN!!!

We gave Brander and Chax supper.  Sprite (don't tell the parents) and pizza!  Pretty sure we got voted for favorite Aunt and Uncle at this point.

After waiting awhile we got to go swimming.  Chaxton thinks he is pretty strong!

Getting ready for bed.  I gave Brander the remote and he was giving me advice on life :)

We had so much fun with our little guys!  I can't imagine spending a better weekend with anybody else.  It is so much fun to play and see how much they have grown since last time we saw them!  We love you Brander and Chax!
