Spaghetti!

The title says it all......man it is messy!

And this was only the beginning.  It just got worse :)

All over the place....I mean ALL OVER THE PLACE!

So....I don't know why I was ever so worried Adlee was not scooting or crawling.  It was like all of the sudden one day it clicked and off she went.  She is climbing up and crawling over everything!  Nothing in our house is safe anymore and we can't leave her for a second.  I have to admit though, watching our little lady crawl and explore is pretty exciting!
I just knocked over a basket!

Now....what else can I do?

Pulling herself up...

Way to go Daddy!

Back in August...like way back (before school even started) Dan was nominated for the FM Realtor of the year.  We were so proud of him and we got to go to a banquet honoring him and the other candidates.  Unfortunately he did not win, but we are so proud of him!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was so relaxing for us.  We were able to just stay put and NOT TRAVEL for once ;) We went fishing, watched movies, caught up on laundry, and got a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Hyland.  It was great!
Grandma and Grandpa took me to Tutti Frutti.  I got a little taste of frozen yogurt and not so sure I liked how cold it was!

Grandma Hyland giving me kisses.

And....I'm giving kisses back!

This look will melt my daddy's heart and will most likely get me out of trouble!

She can not stay still for a second anymore!

Trying to touch the fish that dad caught.

9 months old!

How am I just posting about this?!  I just realized that it has never been up as I am preparing for her 10 month post.  Sigh.....work started, grad school started, and Adlee is crawling now that's why!

So here is her stats:

Adlee at nine months is scooting but only backwards.  She can scoot backwards, turn, scoot backwards some more, turn, and get to what she wants.  Weird but oh so true.  I have to say she is one smiley little baby.  She weighed in at 15lbs 8oz at her check-up (fortieth percentile) and can't remember the length but was in the twenty-fifth percentile.  Lets face it though, she doesn't have much hope.  Her enormous bald head was in the seventy-fifth percentile.  Dan says it is to hold all her brains :)  She loves to copy everybody else.  She is great at clapping, patty cake, and doing her "so big" trick.  She has two teeth on bottom and the top two look like they are about ready to pop through.  My favorite time of the day is picking her up from daycare and brining her home.  We usually do a walk, play, then she sits in her high chair eating puffs (or something) while I start dinner.  She loves to try whatever Dan and I are having, but we still give her baby food because I am not sure how much she gets when I let her feed herself! She loves to eat really anything.  Her favorites are green beans, pears, and yogurt bites.  My favorite thing at this age is that her personality is really coming out.  I really think she will be a laid back pretty easy going little girl.  She goes to bed on her own, sleeps all night, and wakes up happy.   I also love that everything is so NEW to her.  Something as simple as clapping together toys can make her squeal in delight.  I am still nursing and she is getting SUPER distracted and I can tell she may want to be done soon.  I am fine with just morning and night though, if that is what she wants.  I still want to make it to one year.  We are supplementing with a bottle of formula a day however at daycare so she can still get that iron and fluoride for her growing teeth!  Can't believe that in three short months my baby will be one.  It makes me so happy to think that I really think both Dan and I have soaked up every moment of her baby-ness and continue to feel so blessed with this amazing gift that was given to us.
