Wow...we have been enjoying this summer to the fullest!  It has been busy spent swimming, going for walks and to the park, eating picnics, lots of outside time, playing dress up, and so much more!  How lucky am I to spend this time with Little Miss A?  I love it!

Fourth of July

We were able to spend the Fourth of July at Roy Lake again this year.  We have been going here since both Dan and I were in college.  Gone are the days of drinking on the boat all day though :)  We now spend them swimming, playing, and going to parades.  We had a great time this year and the weather was perfect!

Father's Day

We spent the day taking Danny out for some brunch, time in the pool, and an evening in golf.  Adlee LOVED the golf cart and would say, "wwweeeee" every time we got to go for a little ride.  It was a relaxing day and hope that our Man of the House knows how much we love him!!

18 Months!

Wow....my little baby is not so little anymore!  She is 18 months old now.  She is learning something new everyday!  I can't believe all the words she has learned and she is even putting two together now!  She loves being outside and will beg for walks.  If she could she would spend her entire day in a pool or play with water in some way.  She is getting to be very independent and has learned the meaning of the ever so pleasant word "NO!"  She has a scowl and a cry that could make anybody head for cover - but that is only a tiny bit of her time (usually when she is hungry!)  She is still very silly and loves to listen to music with her daddy.  Her obsession with shoes scares me a bit and she is constantly in her room trying to put on different clothes.  Can't wait for her teenage years ;)  Her 18 month check-up went well. She still wasn't on the charts for weight (under 20 pounds still) but was 30 percentile for height!  Dan is still hopeful :)  I think we have trained please, thank you, and your welcome into her vocabulary.  After her shots she told the nurse, "thank you".  Dan and I laughed so hard and the nurse said it was a first!  On her special day (Danny insists on celebrating it because he thinks she is pretty unlucky that she has a winter birthday so close to Christmas!...)  we went out for some  yummy food and then headed out to the splash pad.  She LOVED it!

Rob + Emily = LOVE

We traveled down to Omaha, NE for my older brother's wedding!  We had so much fun taking in the city, celebrating with family, swimming, eating yummy food, dancing, and watching them say I DO.  What a perfect pair...so happy my brother found someone like her.  She has already become a family member (even before the wedding).  Adlee was a flower girl in the wedding.  She made it half way down the aisle before mommy had to help her.  I think our favorite part was watching this little girl dance!  No kidding....she was out on the dance floor for almost two hours getting her groove on.  It was so much fun to watch!  I wish I had taken more pictures (I picked a few of my favorites shown here) of the actual day, but life was hectic with everybody a part of the special day!  Hoping the professionals got some shots, especially since I didn't get one with the bride and groom ALL day :(  It was amazing and we wish we could do this whole weekend over again!

Mother's Day

Ahh....Mother's Day - it was enjoyed to the fullest!  The Hicks family headed out for a brunch and then spent the day getting Adlee things for her sandbox.  We took a family nap and ended up the day with Dan grilling out.  It was wonderful!  I wish I could have seen my own mom.....even just for a bit - but she was with her mom :)
